AMPEL BioSolutions, in collaboration with Lupus Therapeutics and Aker BioMarine, recently published exciting results from their ORKIDS clinical trial. This study revealed that Omega-3-rich Krill Oil supplementation can improve disease activity in patients with autoimmune Lupus. The ORKIDS trial was a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study designed to test the effects of Superba Boost Krill Oil (AKBM-3031) on Lupus disease activity. The results showed that supplementing with Krill Oil led to a significant improvement in the Omega-3 index of Lupus patients. Notably, this improvement in Omega-3 levels was maintained for up to 48 weeks during the open-label extension phase of the trial.
