Dallas-based ClearSight Therapeutics received a $306,852 NIH Small Business Innovation Research Phase I award from the National Eye Institute to study a preservative-free eye formulation for acute infectious conjunctivitis and epidemic keratoconjunctivitis (EKC). The one-year research project runs through August 2027 and will investigate the formulation’s potential while generating data to support future development. The award is for research and development and does not involve an NIH-defined clinical trial or establish FDA approval for treating either condition.
