Cook Children’s Medical Center Prosper is working toward expanded clinical designations, including enhanced NICU capabilities and trauma center accreditation, to better serve the rapidly growing population in Prosper and surrounding communities. The hospital has already established a NICU and is building out additional pediatric critical care services as demand increases across North Texas, driven by rapid residential growth and rising birth rates. Leaders say achieving higher-level designations will help ensure more advanced, specialized care is available locally, reducing the need for families to travel to Fort Worth or Dallas for complex pediatric treatment.
