UTA Professor Named 2024 Fellow of American Statistical Association for Contributions to Data Science

Xinlei “Sherry” Wang, PhD

Xinlei “Sherry” Wang, Director for Research in UTA's Division of Data Science, has been named a 2024 fellow of the American Statistical Association for her outstanding contributions to statistical and computational methods. Dr. Wang, also the Jenkins Garret Endowed Professor of Statistics and Data Science, has played a vital role in developing UTA's data science program, including launching its first graduate degree in data science. Her leadership and scholarship have been recognized with major grants and numerous publications.
