UTA Student Earns Prestigious Research Fellowship Supporting Hands-On Cardiovascular Research

A University of Texas at Arlington biology student, Nishi Modi, has been selected for a competitive Houston Experience for Advancing Research and Training (UH-HEART) fellowship focused on cardiovascular research. The program, funded by the American Heart Association, provides hands-on lab experience, faculty mentorship, and a 10-week intensive research placement at the University of Houston. Modi is one of only five students chosen nationwide and will also participate in the American Heart Association’s scientific conference in Boston as part of the program.
